Question
We have a Barnstead Epure system The Model Number is D4641 and the Serial Number is 109007094405 We normally have the in feed connected to Distilled water but our distillation unit is out of service Can we connect the system to our city water and get usable NanoPure water
Answer
Yes you can connect it to tap water but you would expect the filters to last significantly less time and the cost per gallon produced would greatly increase.
If it is temporary, you can get by doing it, if it is longer term you can add a simple reverse osmosis system in front of it and it would increase the life 15X and thereby greatly lower the per gallons costs by 15X.
